Vanessa Stott is an international board director, strategic adviser and former C-suite risk and regulatory executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across insurance, reinsurance, banking, asset management, payments and digital assets.
Her career has been distinguished by senior appointments in highly regulated international businesses and extensive engagement with boards, executive teams and regulators across Bermuda, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. Her board and advisory credentials have been subject to approval, review or regulatory scrutiny by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), AM Best, the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) and other regulatory authorities and jurisdictions.
Vanessa brings particular expertise in corporate governance, enterprise risk, regulatory strategy, capital and solvency, investment oversight, business transformation and the development of regulated financial-services businesses. She has served in board and committee roles spanning risk, audit, investment, asset-liability management and underwriting, combining independent oversight with substantial executive and commercial experience.
As Founder of Family Office Association Bermuda, Vanessa is bringing together global families, family offices, private capital, professional advisers and Bermuda's international business community. Her ambition is to strengthen Bermuda's position as a leading, trusted and internationally connected jurisdiction for family offices, investment and multigenerational wealth, while creating a credible bridge between private capital, industry and the jurisdiction's wider economic ecosystem.
Randall Krebs is a Founding Board Member of Family Office Association Bermuda and a highly experienced Bermuda private-client lawyer and family-office adviser, with more than 35 years of legal experience advising international families, trustees, private clients and wealth structures.
He is a Director and Legal Counsel with the Harbour Group of Companies, whose fiduciary businesses provide multi-family-office, trust and company administration, fund administration and insurance-company administration services. His career in Bermuda has also included senior private-client and fiduciary roles, including Head of Private Client at Appleby Bermuda and General Counsel of Meritus Trust.
Randall brings deep expertise in family-office structuring, trusts and fiduciary matters, family governance and succession, philanthropy, private trust companies and the administration and preservation of multigenerational wealth.
Importantly for the Association, Randall has been actively engaged in the development of Bermuda's family-office proposition for many years. His work has included detailed consideration of Bermuda's proposed Family Office Act and the regulatory and structural framework required to support international family offices — encompassing investment management, family investment funds, fiduciary structures, captive insurance, immigration, philanthropy and trust governance.
His longstanding involvement in Bermuda's private-client sector gives the Association both technical depth and an established understanding of the practical requirements of international families seeking to structure, manage and preserve wealth across generations.
As a Founding Board Member of Family Office Association Bermuda, Randall works alongside Founder Vanessa Stott and the wider Board to develop a trusted bridge between global families, private capital and Bermuda's financial, fiduciary, legal and professional-services community.
Marquis Caines is a business development and investment professional with particular expertise in private wealth, asset management, international investment and Bermuda's economic development.
Marquis currently serves as Business Development Manager at the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), where his work includes supporting Bermuda's international positioning and business development across private wealth and asset management. He works with investors, businesses, professional advisers and industry stakeholders seeking to establish, expand or deepen their presence in Bermuda.
His experience combines economic development with an entrepreneurial and investment perspective. His professional development includes the Newton Venture Program at London Business School, focused on venture capital and the investment ecosystem, alongside wider experience in investment, portfolio development and initiatives designed to broaden participation in entrepreneurship and innovation.
As a Board Member of Family Office Association Bermuda, Marquis brings private-wealth market development, investment connectivity and direct knowledge of Bermuda's international business proposition. Working alongside Founder Vanessa Stott, Founding Board Member Randall Krebs and the wider Board, he supports the Association's objective of building a stronger bridge between global families, private capital, professional advisers and Bermuda.
